Break.

I’m now having my mid-term break. The past term was so hectic, a maximum 3 hours of sleeping felt like heaven.

I don’t have any specific thing to do in this one-week break. My plan was to make over my bedroom into an art-deco-ish slash bauhaus atmosphere. It’s day 2, and I haven’t make a single move on moving things around.

Oh well, perhaps I’m gonna do it later on this week.

Bandung tomorrow. Time to open my eyes for some treasure hunting at Toko Tidar.

Indonesian National Gallery

The day was started off with a chilly and gloomy morning. I was so hyped because my Cultural Studies class planned to go on a trip to the country’s National Gallery — although I though we were going to see the National Monument.

Apparently, the gallery was located near the monument.

The theme of the gallery was: MANIFESTO, where our young and upcoming contemporary artists are asked to represent their new way of one of our Maestro’s masterpiece.

All of the works are incredible.

My favorites were the “Pertemuan” (or “The Meeting”) by Otto Djaja in 1947,

and Raden Saleh’s “Badai” (or “The Storm”) in 1851.

1 quart of this day was spent on the gallery. Since I’m not in my fit condition, it was hell lot of fun.

And oh! I used my fisheye camera again! Happyhappy! Can’t wait to see the results.

Sometimes we have to stay away from the things we love, and learn to appreciate the things we need.
